1. Why Camp at NorseForged Gathering 6?

Camping at NorseForged Gathering 6 places you inside the heart of the experience. From late-night fires and shared stories to waking up surrounded by fellow adventurers, camping allows you to stay immersed in the world of NFG all weekend. You’ll remain close to the event for the duration of the event, ensuring you can get the most out of your experience.

2. Camping Location & Setting

NorseForged Gathering 6 takes place May 22–24, 2026 at Camp John J. Barnhardt in New London, North Carolina. Set within wooded terrain, the campground becomes a living extension of the festival grounds. This natural setting enhances immersion while creating a shared responsibility to protect and respect the land we gather on.

3. Camping Passes

All overnight stays at NorseForged Gathering 6 require a camping pass. No exceptions. Camping passes grant access to the campground for the full event weekend and ensure proper capacity, safety, and site management. Camping passes are included with specific ticket options or bundled with premier tent rentals. If you bought a 3 day event ticket, you can add a camping pass ticket on later to cover each adult.

- Camping passes are separate from event tickets.
- Tent rentals do not include admission to the event — an event ticket is still required.

4. Camping Options

NorseForged Gathering 6 offers two camping options to support different comfort levels while preserving the immersive woodland atmosphere. Attendees may choose between primitive camping for a fully self-reliant experience or premier tent rentals for a ready-to-use setup. Both options keep campers within the same wooded campsite areas and close to event activities. All camping is first come, first serve. We recommend you meet up with your group coming in, if possible, to get the best possible chance of getting spaces next to each other.

Primitive Camping (Bring Your Own Tent)

Primitive Camping with Tent Rental

- Two adult cots provided inside the tent
- Primitive, woodland-style camping
- No power or hookups
- You are still responsible for personal bedding and supplies

5. Primitive Woodland Camping Experience

All camping at NFG6 is primitive woodland camping. There are no RVs, campers, or permanent hookups. Campsites are set within natural forest terrain, creating a genuine outdoor experience. Primitive camping encourages self-reliance while fostering a strong sense of community among campers sharing the same environment. No vehicles or bikes are allowed into the campgrounds for public safey.

6. Getting Your Gear to Camp (Parking & Transport)

Vehicles are not permitted on event grounds or within camping areas. Campers should plan to transport their gear from designated parking areas to their campsite. We strongly recommend bringing a wheeled wagon or cart. Distances range from approximately 414 yards to the closest campsite and up to 989 yards to the furthest.

We will have close parking for those who have disabled parking placards to the first campsite, which will be intended for those who need it.

7. Camping Facilities & Water Access

While camping is primitive, modern facilities are available throughout the property. Three brick bathhouse buildings provide access to modern toilets, showers, and potable drinking water. In addition, primitive toilets are located near campsite areas, allowing campers to balance comfort with immersion.

These are primitive campgrounds, and no power is available or provided. Please plan accordingly and bring any equipment you may need to meet your personal needs. If you choose to bring a generator, be mindful of nearby campers. Portable charging solutions, such as battery power stations (e.g., Jackery-style units), are strongly recommended.

8. Campfires & Community Life

Each campsite at NorseForged Gathering 6 includes a shared fire pit, creating a central place for warmth, cooking simple meals, and gathering with fellow campers. Fires are a core part of camp life and encourage connection, storytelling, and community after the day’s adventures come to an end.

Above-ground portable stoves are permitted. Campers are responsible for providing and maintaining their own stoves.Above ground, portable stoves are allowed - you are responsible for your own stove.

9. Firewood & Fire Safety Rules

Firewood is provided by the event, and no outside firewood is permitted. This policy protects the local ecosystem and prevents the spread of invasive pests. Fires must remain contained, never left unattended, and must be fully extinguished before sleeping. Campfire safety is essential to protecting the land, fellow campers, and future events.

No gasoline may be brought into the camp.

10. Pack In / Pack Out Camping Policy

NorseForged Gathering 6 is a strict pack-in / pack-out event. Everything you bring with you must leave with you, including trash, food waste, packaging, broken gear, decorations, and fire debris. Keeping the site clean is essential to respecting the property and ensuring future NorseForged Gatherings can continue.

Dumpsters will be provided for waste disposal — please clean up after yourselves.
